The Mathematics Department at Bramalea Secondary School encompasses of subjects such as Principles and Foundations of Mathematics, Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Mathematics of Data Management, and Mathematics for Work and Everyday Life. We offer an exciting and vibrant approach to teaching and learning mathematics. Math is relevant to other courses such as business, science and technology. There are courses to fit every need, from basic arithmetic to enhanced theory. We study financial math, statistics, technical math and pure math. Using technology helps students learn, by putting the math in context. Graphing calculators and computers are used as tools. This technology helps us to solve and pose problems, and answer questions about the world around us. As well, we offer help in preparing for math contests.
